To The Point of Tears

Last month I was filmed for a documentary called Faces of America. This movie is targeted to air on the 10th anniversary of September 11th. Its goal is to honor the people who died on that tragic day and highlight people across the country who represent the face of America on its very best days.

After filming my segment, the film crew spent some time with my family. They took a particular interest in my teen son, founder of, and ended up filming an interview with him about his passion for entrepreneurism and dreams for his future.

At the end of the shoot, I was walking the crew director to his car.  And he said something to me that took my breath away.

It grabbed my heart so tightly that when I was driving to an appointment after the crew left, I needed to pull over to the side of the road. I ended up grabbing my flip cam and began processing out loud…

What did the film director say to me that caused such a deep, emotional reaction?

In this single-take video, I poured out what was in my heart.  I’m not going for any video awards here — I’m standing at the side of the road and the wind is blowing 🙂

Yet, this video brought me to a question. A question that I believe has the potential to add a deeper richness to all of our lives.

Watch this video now and let me know if you agree…
